Restaurant of the Month

LA PARRILLA

Serving the great Yucatecan family their "tacos al pastor" and other Mexican dishes has been the claim to fame of La Parrilla Mexican Grill for the past 20 years. The fact that La Parrilla is packed to the gills with locals just about every night is a definite sign and a guarantee that the food, service and ambiance are excellent.

La Parrilla first opened its doors in Cancun 30 years ago. Ten years later, in 1985, they came to Merida and have been a hit ever since. They now also have restaurants in Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Cancun and Campeche.

At La Parrilla you will find good, tasty Mexican food that includes tacos, guacamoles, grilled Cambray baby onions, melted cheeses, cheese and meat tacos, and cowboy bean soup along with international cuisine of T-bones, rib-eyes, arracheras, fajitas and tasty chicken dishes. This food is not hot and spicy,

rather it is mild with all the sauces and salsas served separately so you can doctor things up to your own spiciness level.

For their 20th anniversary, La Parilla did an extreme makeover on all the installations, from the menu to the central air-conditioning to the art on the walls to the decor in the bathrooms.

There is live music from Monday to Friday and in the patio 'El Jardin de la Trova', you will find the wonderful traditional Yucatecan music, la trova, on Friday and Saturday from 7 PM on. Located in the north part of town on the Prolongacion de Montejo, La Parrilla is open from mid-day to mid-night. And don't forget, they have delivery service to your home or hotel.
