Si - kil - pac

"While in Rome, do as the Romans do"! While in Yucatan, eat where the Yucatecans eat! La Tradicion is full of just that - tradition.

When you eat here, you will be surrounded by Yucatecans families who many times meet here in large groups to savor their favorite dishes.

The menu is typical Yucatecan cuisine. The secret here are the owners' grandmother's recipes.

Queso Relleno

When you are seated the waiter will bring refried beans, tortilla chips, codzitos (rolled up tortillas with a tomato sauce and cheese) and si-kil-pac- a pumpkin seed dip that is a local favorite.

The menu has pictures which make choosing easy. Try the panuchos, salbutes, frijol con puerco, stuffed Edam cheese in sauce (queso relleno), longaniza or the different Yucatecan style chicken dishes.

For a change, the seafood menu includes shrimp breaded in coconut, breaded fish fillet, shrimp in garlic and pan de cazon, a typical dish that is layered like lasagna but with shredded fish, refried beans, tortillas and tomato sauce and is not only quite delicious but a traditional dish from the neighboring state of Campeche.
