When the world moves at such a rapid pace, as it does today, culinary tendencies evolve, in the same way that traces of traditional village food remain depending on how strong its influence was. This helps us to hear and understand the importance of the difference of each of the infinite expressions in the art of eating.

This thought could be what passed through the minds of Roberto Solis and Santiago Pineda some two years ago. How could they use the resources of the many different cuisines of the world and make them work together in one dish? At Nectar Food & Wine, an exquisite minimalist corner with a tropical garden, you will find culinary surprises that can be defined as fusion.

When you see what they have created, combining Yucatecan cuisine and some secrets of other worldly kitchens, you will be torn between taking a picture of the dish and savoring each and every bite of the irresistibly sophisticated and pretentious gourmet dishes.

Prepared right before your eyes by the chefs, you will notice how they attend to detail using techniques that are known as show kitchen where in the flames of the fire, the mystical ingredients of the sauces and the dedication of the presentations will transform duck with a fusion of French tendencies and Yucatecan condiments; fine Angus cuts of beef are seduced by oriental flavors; shrimp and lobster swim in fine Italian risotto that are combined with the exotic flavors of Thailand. Even their dishes from the typical, traditional and informal Mexican kitchen end up special when combined with touches of truffles and foie gras, representatives of the European kitchen.

We must not forget to mention lamb,Nectar’s calling card – its most spectacular temptation. You can enjoy Nectar’s flavors and sensations daily from 7:30 PM on. They offer three menus. The first is the house menu where different colors and textures have made this restaurant truly the only fusion gourmet restaurant in town. The second menu is the specialty menu, where day after day, the chefs’ work at giving life to new dishes – new dishes where there are no rules, everything is possible, playing with the elements reigns and the only thing that is important is experiencing a new culinary highlight. This menu is the most popular. The third and last menu is thewine list, where you will find more than 199 varieties of wine from innumerable countries that have been selected and imported by a Sommelier who certifies their state, quality and prestige.
