La Tratto does not need publicity. Being one of the most popular restaurant bars with both the local Mexican crowd and the many foreigners who live here, La Tratto is always busy. People keep coming back because the food is consistantly excellent, the drinks varied and well served and the feeling relaxed. We know that many people who travel around the world doing their tourist thing, want to eat and go where the locals go. They don’t just want tourist fare. So, grab a taxi after 7 PM and say, “La Tratto.”

Upon arrival, you can either sit at a table or the bar. You will note that La Tratto is outdoor dining… under the stars nestled in amongst palm trees. There is also an area that does have a roof.

Happy hour is from 7 PM – 9 PM. After you order dinner, your waiter will bring you a warm puff bread fresh from the oven with an olive oil and herbs side dish for dipping.

Paul Trotter, the owner of La Tratto (and Pancho’s and Trotter’s), spends a lot of time in the kitchen dreaming up wonderfully unique dishes. His use of cheeses, sautéed veggies, shrimp, salmon and other ingredients in pastas, salads and pizzas make for magic. His creations are not only divinely tasty but also an artistic treat for your eyes. The menus are in English and Spanish.

La Tratto is also known for its specials: Monday: 2 x 1 on all meats (they use fine Angus cuts), Tuesday: 50% off on all wines, Wednesday: they have 2 x 1 on all pasta dishes and Sunday: they offer 2 pizzas and 1 pitcher of sangria for $169 pesos.

Be smart — go where the locals go! Go to La Tratto. It’s a guarantee.

Bon appetite!
