MiCasaInMexico, a new company, offers real estate tours and seminars in Merida and Playa del Carmen for those interested in buying property in Mexico, either as a place to retire or an investment.

MiCasaInMexico is not affiliated with realtors or developers and offers a neutral, objective and independent service.
The tours are a mix of sightseeing and seminars aimed at educating the participants to help them make an informed decision about a potential move and/or investment.

The seminars include: discussions and presentations on real estate and immigration laws, the real estate market; Spanish lessons, history and culture of Mexico, cuisine, architecture, renovation and construction (cost and techniques) and viewing of properties for sale.

Every day participants have 1/2 day of seminar followed by a 1/2 day of sightseeing (in the Yucatan think Mayan ruins, nature parks, and haciendas).

With more Americans moving to Mexico to find a more relaxed and less expensive lifestyle, this service was created to inform people of the real laws, possible pitfalls, and great investment opportunities and living options that exist in the area.

Participants visit homes for sale, guided by MiCasa’s staff and shielded from potentially overzealous realtors. MiCasaInMexico gets no commission on sales, again to guarantee its neutrality.

The next tour is in March, in Merida (Yucatan), followed by the Riviera Maya in April.
